The Problem
The organization manages large volumes of data and collaborates with countries around the world to establish evidence-based international standards and address global social, economic, and environmental challenges. It works with policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders from both public and private sectors who are responsible for ensuring fair and effective policy implementation. After receiving annotated data from NLP software in .csv format, employees were required to validate the results manually. This process was time-consuming and repetitive, leading to high labor costs and reduced efficiency across the organization.
The Solution
We developed a comprehensive validation workflow by integrating the different tools used in the annotation process. We also designed an intuitive, user-friendly interface to display the results in a more engaging and organized way, helping reduce fatigue for the validators. A key feature of the interface allows users to view the context of any annotated word by displaying it within its original paragraph. This helps ensure accurate validation by providing full linguistic and semantic context. As a result, validation time was reduced dramatically—from several weeks to just hours or a couple of days—saving the organization significant time and money.
